Giuseppe Cozzi is the founder of Zest.
He spent more than 30 years as Chief Executive Officer of Surfid SA, which became Financial Strategy SA and then Zest SA (following a spin-off, in 2012). He spent 10 years as Chief Financial Officer of various Italian Companies, in Rome. He has been for over 20 years member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers - ASG and he holds a Financial Trustee License (Canton Ticino - Switzerland).
Member of the Board of Directors
Piero joined Zest in January 2019 as an operating member of the Board of Directors.
Before Zest, Piero spent the years from 2011 to 2018 as Vice President of Colombo Wealth Management SA. It consolidated the experience gained with the main counterparties of the financial sector (i.e. supervisory bodies, fund administrators, managers) after settling in Switzerland in the '90s, assuming the role of Managing Director of Banca Arner and member of the BoD of Banca di Roma. His career began in the 70s in the maritime and insurance sector, holding important roles within several brokerage firms, both in the United Kingdom and in Italy.
Chief Executive Officer
Enrico assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Zest in 2013, after having worked in Financial Strategy since 2001 - initially, he worked at Financial Strategy SAM, Monaco as Portfolio Manager and then at Financial Strategy SA, Lugano as Relationship Manager.
In 1999 he spent a year as assistant to the managing director of Immobiliare Italia Gestioni (San Paolo-IMI group), after starting his professional career in Mediosim (Banca di Roma group), as a financial intermediary. Graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He has been for 15 years a member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers - ASG, holder of a financial trustee license (Canton Ticino - Switzerland).
General Manager - Institutional Clients
Gabriele joined Zest as General Manager and Head of Institutional Clientele in 2018, after having co-founded AQA Capital in 2015 (a European Super Management Company).
Prior to AQA and Zest, Gabriele co-managed long-short equity funds in Sequoia and Lemanik, after moving from Exane BNP Paribas to manage the group's Equity Research Department in Italy. He grew professionally in Mediobanca as an equity financial analyst (with a focus on Italian big-caps and analysis of numerous IPOs). Previously, he contributed to the creation of the Planning & Economics Department in Vodafone, after starting his career as an auditor in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
General Manager - Private Banking
Rosy joined Zest in April 2019, as General Manager and Head of the Private Banking sector.
Before Zest. Rosy spent 23 years at Colombo Wealth Management in Lugano, first becoming its Director and then CEO and member of the Board of Directors in 2017. The experience acquired in terms of management, compliance, and due diligence, administration and asset management optimized for high net worth individuals and families, combined with excellent and solid relationships with the major operators in the financial sector, guarantees to our customers and extremely targeted and personalized service and assistance. Her career in the banking sector began at UBS SA followed by a brief stay in the USA.
Chief Investment Officer
Alberto joined Zest as Chief Investment Officer in 2018, after having co-founded AQA Capital in 2015: a European Management Company, acting as the Head of the Investment Management activities after over 20 years of experience in managing funds/portfolios. Alberto is Portfolio Manager of the following sub-funds under the SICAV Zest: Zest Global Bonds, Zest Flexible Bond, Zest Quantamental and Zest Global Special Situations
Before AQA and Zest, he co-managed long-short equity funds in 2008 in Sequoia and then in Lemanik. Alberto moved to Ireland in Pioneer Alternative Investment where he co-managed the global long-short fund, after becoming a partner of Kairos Alternative Investments; he also had been an Equity Manager in Aletti Gestille, and a Fund Manager in RAS. After graduating in Economics and Commerce at the University of Pavia, Alberto moved to Connecticut where he worked on the development of non-linear models for predicting volatility.
Gianrito joined Zest in 2015, as Portfolio Manager of the Zest Mediterraneus Absolute Value Fund.
He moved to Lugano in 2009. Prior to Zest, he was CIO for DFL and Portfolio Advisor for Moneyrex SA. Since 2006 Gianrito has been working as Portfolio Manager of the Absolute Large Cap Fund, at Absolute Capital Management, hedge fund with offices in London, Mallorca and Cayman Islands: the company was awarded as Best Hedge Fund Group of the year at the European Awards of the specialized magazine Hedge Fund Review. In 2003 he launched the brokerage desk dedicated to institutional investors for Banca Intermobiliare Investimenti e Gestioni, where he worked until March 2006, bringing it to the third position in the ranking related to third-parties brokerage in Italy. Previously, in 2002 he was head of portfolio management at Diners Club SIM where he founded one of the first Ethic Investment Strategy in Italy, Dimensione Uomo. His financial career began in 1999, at Previtali Exchange Agent as a trader on the Italian market, following his studies in Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Milan.
Matteo joined Zest in 2018 as Portfolio Manager of the Zest Dynamic Opportunities Fund.
He gained over than 25 years of experience in the financial markets, with a particular focus in the corporate and government bonds' fields. From 2010 to 2018, Matteo was the Head of the Financial Institutional Sales team in MPS Capital Services, entertaining relations with European institutional customers for cash and derivatives-related activities. From 2004 to 2010, he worked at BBVA as Senior Fixed Income and Derivatives Sales, developing the business also through "tailor-made" solutions for Italian institutional customers. Previously, he had a long experience in Banca IMI, from 1992 to 2004 as Fixed Income Sales and Relationship Manager, where he started his career following the Degree in Economics and Commerce at the University
Before Zest, he held the position of Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Cramer Asset Management (now Pegaso Capital Partners). From 2010 to 2012, he was Proprietary Trader in Banca Monte dei Paschi in Milan; while, from 2006 to 2010, Pasquale worked as Fund Manager in Aletti-Gestielle Sgr, having responsability over several products. He started his career in 2002 in Bcc Risparmio & Previdenza Sgr as Portfolio Manager, after graduating with honors in Economics and Commerce from Bocconi University in Milan.
Marco joined Zest in May 2019, as manager of the Zest Global Opportunities sub-fund, merged into the Zest ASSET MANAGEMENT SICAV.
He previously worked at Zenit SGR, where he created and became the manager of the Multistrategy Private Banking line, later managing the Global Opportunities sub-fund. The sub-fund, which Simion managed from its inception, was launched by Zenit MultiStrategy Sicav, whose board he chaired for 12 years. He was Portfolio Manager in Fiduciaria Duomo and then in PFM SIM SpA. He has worked in the asset management sector since 1986 as Remisier of Leonzio, Belloni, Combi, Piva, Romersa Exchange Agents. Collaborated with Clarion Finanz AG in Zurich in the evaluation and financing projects in the Energy, Biotech and Natural Resources sectors. Marco was (until 2004) Director and Supervisor of the Finance Department of M + RZP today Marazzi & Associati. He has a degree in business economics from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
Alberto joined Zest in April 2020, as Fund Manager of the Zest Amelanchier sub-fund which is part of Zest ASSET MANAGEMENT SICAV.
Alberto has over 33 years of experience in the financial markets dealing with portfolio management as well as trading activities. In April 2000 he founded an Asset Management company of which he is currently President and CEO. Previously, in May 1997, Alberto joined ABN AMRO Bank Switzerland as the head of asset management of Lugano branch and subsequently as Head of the Discretionary Mandates for bank’s VIP clients. Prior to this work experience, from 1988 to 1997, Alberto had on a long career at UBS where he gained a solid experience in the Asset Management department, taking on increasing responsibilities that led him to head the Wealth Management Team dedicated to particularly wealthy clients. (HNWI) of the bank. At UBS he had the opportunity to improve professionally, both in Switzerland and abroad, by attending the numerous professional courses organized by the Swiss bank. Alberto started his financial career in Geneva at Bank Gutzwiller Kurz Bungener SA where he was a stock and options trader.
Daniele joined Zest in April 2020, as Co-Fund Manager of the Zest Amelanchier sub-fund, under the Zest ASSET MANAGEMENT SICAV.
Daniele has over 26 years of experience in the financial markets dealing with asset management and investment advice. In 2008 he joined an Asset Manager company based in Lugano, which offers portfolio management services to local and international private clients, with the role of Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor and for which he still works. Previously, from May 1997 to the end of 2007, Daniele had a long working experience at ABN AMRO Switzerland, Lugano branch, where he took on increasing roles that led him over time to assume responsibility first for Asset Management, then for Advisory Desk and finally of the whole market area which also included the Forex Desk and the Team of the Independent Asset Managers. After obtaining a degree in financial management at the University of Fribourg, Daniele began his career in 1994 at the Lugano branch of UBS where he was able to attend the training program of the Swiss bank while dealing with quantitative studies to support the Asset Management activities.
Portfolio Manager & Head of Trading Desk
Omar joined Zest in 2015 to support operations and investment management activities in reference to the sub-funds managed directly by Zest SA and by Alberto Conca, as its CIO.
From 2012 to 2015, Omar worked as a trader at John Lock Investment, one of the main French CTA funds where he collaborated in the development of decision models to select stocks using quantitative analytical techniques. From 2005 to 2009, Omar was the manager of the Absolute India Fund (AIF) at Absolute Capital Management. He joined ACMH after his long/short equity trader experience with ARKAGA Fund, a London-based hedge fund. Omar built his experience base at BAREP Asset Management, a hedge fund group based in Paris, where he was responsible for the risk division for long/short equity and fixed-income funds in emerging countries. He graduated in financial engineering from the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Leonard de Vinci (ESILV).
After graduating in Economics at the University of Torino, Antonio started his career as an equity financial analyst at Sanpaolo Intesa Asset Management in 1986 and as a Portfolio Manager in 1991, becoming the Head of US Equity Market Funds supervising several investment funds (the most important being SP Asset Management US Equity Fund, with 2Bn of AuM). After a brief experience in Antonveneta Bank, he supervised the joint venture with ABN Amro. He then joined Symphonia Sgr in 1999, where he was named Head of International Equity markets, managing several investment funds, among whichSymphonia Fortissimo and the Banca IntermobiliareFlessibile, other then private clients’ portfolios. In 2007, he moved on to Investimenti & Sviluppo until 2010. After some years dedicated to complementary experiences in Real Estate and Banking, in 2017 he returns to the Asset Management Industry with AQA Capital and then Zest as Portfolio Manager.
Tommaso joined Zest in 2018 as Portfolio Manager of the Zest Global Equity Fund.
Tommaso has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the financial markets: working from 2002 to 2018 at Ganimede SA (Jupiter Management Group) and at Trust & Gain Asset Management SA, DeepView Group. Until 2001 he worked in Medio Banca, Investment Banking Division, after graduating with honors from the Catholic University of Milan.
Enrico joined Zest in 2019 as Head of Development of the Zest Pilot fund, as a fintech investment proposal by Zest ASSET MANAGEMENT SICAV.
Over the past 20 years, Enrico has acquired extensive experience in the development and marketing of financial products to offer new and alternative investment solutions to both institutional clients and individuals. Previously, Enrico worked for The Citco Group, Banque Heritage and JPMorgan. He studied Business Management at the European Business School and holds a Masters in Financial Management from the University of Turin.
Senior Investment Advisor
Luca joined Zest SA in June 2020 as Senior Investment Advisor for High Net worth Individuals and families as well as to develop new relationships with Institutional counterparties.
After graduating in Business Administration at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Luca worked as a Market Maker, Pan European Equities Trader in first-class Investment Banks in Italy and abroad such as BNP-Paribas in Milan and London and AbaxBank (Credem Group in Milan). Furthermore, he held positions as Senior Investments Advisor in the Wealth Management Industry (Crédit Agricole Suisse in Lugano, Crédit Agricole Luxembourg in Luxembourg).
Andrea joined Zest in February 2019 with the role of Business Developer, dedicated to the implementation of new projects, as well as to the supervision of communication and marketing-related activities.
Before starting his professional career, Andrea made several internships in different fields of the financial industry: Financial Consulting in Prager Metis CPAs in New York, Private Equity in Aksia Group in Milan, and M&A (Transactions Team) in Deloitte, again in Milan. During his studies, Andrea spent a semester in Ottawa, Canada, and another one in Melbourne, Australia. He also completed two different 3-months volunteering period: in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in Quito, Ecuador: these experiences, combined with a University path entirely in English (concluded with the Master in International Financial Accounting at the University of Turin) have allowed him to reach an excellent level of English and Spanish.

Miriam joined Zest in 2015, as Relationship Manager.
Before Zest, Miriam was a Business Developer of SwissWealth Management, a Lugano-based management company. In addition to having held the position of Relationship Manager of Casa4Funds in Lugano, a branch of the Luxembourg Management Company, Miriam was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Management Company's Conducting Officer and member of the Board of Directors of several Luxembourg SICAVs. Miriam began his career in 2000 in Lemanik SA, holding relations between the SICAV and its service providers in Luxembourg, Italy and Switzerland.
Monica joined Financial Strategy SA (and then Zest, after the spin-off) starting her professional career in Lugano, with activities focused on asset management services and relationships with private customers.In over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Monica has become executive secretary, with a focus on the relationships with HNWI and Families, after accumulating expertise in wealth management-related administrative practices, in banking relationships, and in back-office activities.
Administration - Legal and Contractualistic Support
Corinna joined Zest in 2018, as a member of the Administrative Team, specifically supporting the opening and the update of contractual relationships with the various service providers, at different levels.
Before joining Zest, Corinna gained experience as a state administrative employee, dedicating herself to back-office and general secretarial activities, after starting her professional career at Alleanza Assicurazioni SpA where she gained experience in life insurance-related matters. Corinna graduated in Law in 2011 from the Faculty of Insubria of Como.
Caterina joined ZEST SA in January 2019 as a member of the Private Banking Team.
Before Zest, she worked for 2 years for Hedge Invest (Suisse) SA - where she was in charge of back and middle office activities - and for 5 years for Templar Capital Management SA, as Chief Operating Officer. From 2012 to 2016 she was Director for Patronus Select LTD, an Investment Manager based in the Cayman Islands. She had been a member of the National Futures Association from 2011 to 2017. Before embarking her career in the Financial Industry, she worked in Milan as Project Leader Assistant for Notime Srl, a digital communication agency and CRM. She obtained a 1st level master in Communication Sciences at the University of Lugano in Lugano with a thesis on financial communication.
Stefania joined Zest in 2019, as Assistant to the Head of Private Banking.
Prior to Zest, Stefania was Assistant to the Directorate of Colombo Gestioni Patrimoniali, after having worked as Secretary-General for a few years at Banco di Lugano. In the first ten years of her professional career, she has perfected her skills in Compliance activities related to the wealth management industry, supervision and usage of INSA systems (our state-of-the-art PMS) other than optimizing her skills in the management of relationships with customers and banks (contracts and pricing). Stefania was trained at the UBS in Lugano, obtaining the title of Business Economist at the University Professional School (SUPSI) with an in-depth study in Innovation Management.
Luciano joined Zest in 2019 in the administrative team at first, before then joining the trading desk in 2020, supporting the operational activities of portfolio managers.
Luciano entered Zest just after completing his university career at the University of Insubria in Como; so, he was able to start his professional career and simoultaneously to cultivate the passion for the financial industry.
